Car sales rise again in Feb 2015
Booming UK car sales rose 12 per cent in February to cap a record 36-month run of ever-increasing showroom success built on increasing consumer confidence.
It means car sales have been rising for a full three years.
Motor industry bosses said the UK car market’s ‘sustained expansion’ is ‘the longest ever seen’ comfortably beating the previous record of 26 months set between May 1987 and June 1989.
The industry is now closely watching sales for March, to see if the launch of the new 15-plate cars has handed yet another boost to sales.
