The Mitsubishi 3000GT – one of the ultimate PlayStation generation cars

Gamers and car fans of a certain age will have nothing but appreciation for this week’s focus car: the Mitsubishi 3000GT (or aka the GTO).

As the PlayStation brand celebrates its 20th anniversary in the UK this year, WeBuyCarsforMore.com has one of the stars of iconic PlayStation game, Gran Turismo, in stock.

The three-litre, twin-turbo Mitsubishi GTO was a car well ahead of its time. Rammed with gadgets, driving aids, and vast amounts of power, it was years ahead of its time.

Japanese manufacturers also had a reputation in the 80s and 90s for paying very close homage to Western car designers – the successful Mazda MX5 took lots of cues from Lotus, the Toyota MR2 nicked ideas from Ferrari’s sketch pad, and the GTO really is no different.

To these eyes, there is definitely more than a hint of Ferrari F355 about the GTO.

Either way, it’s a classic piece of Japanese performance motoring. Our Mitsubishi 3000GT is a second generation 1995 model, in totally immaculate condition. More details here, but has to be seen to be believed.
